American Fence Association Seeks New Executive Director
Fence professionals begin search for new leadership.
CARROLLTON, TX, FEBRUARY 25, 2022 – The American Fence Association (AFA) seeks an experienced and dynamic leader to serve as its next executive director. AFA benefits fence industry professionals and consumers by promoting the highest levels of professionalism and ethics through the education and certification of its members.
By offering leading education programs and business-building opportunities like FENCETECH, AFA is ensuring that its members have the technical skills and business acumen to succeed in the fence industry. In addition to the FENCETECH experience, AFA offers six learning opportunities for fence professionals: Fence Installation School, Gate Automation Designer School, Gate Automation Technician School, Sales Training School, Fence Contractor Business School and Operations Manager School.
The next executive director will provide visionary leadership to an organization that is committed to strengthening the relationships between fence consumers, professional fence contractors and industry suppliers.
AFA also recognizes the contributions of current executive director, Tony Thornton, CFP, CAGOI, CAGSD, who is leaving his current role, but remaining in the industry. “We are eternally grateful for Tony’s hard work and vision. Because of his outstanding leadership, AFA has become a united voice in the fence industry. The board is committed to identifying a leader who will build upon our solid foundation and lead AFA to new and exciting heights.” said Sam Williams, AFA President.
