The AFA Association Awards Program celebrates excellence, dedication, and innovation within the fence industry by recognizing individuals and companies that embody the highest standards of ethics, craftsmanship, and leadership. These prestigious awards honor those who have made significant contributions to the American Fence Association (AFA) and the broader fence community, from manufacturers and contractors to individual leaders who exemplify outstanding service, integrity, and industry advancement. Each award reflects the AFA's commitment to promoting professionalism and elevating the industry through recognition of exceptional achievements. Recipients of these awards inspire others and help shape the future of the fence industry.
The Association Awards recognize AFA members who have made significant contributions to the association and the fence industry. There are six distinct award categories, each celebrating excellence in various areas. Click on each category for details regarding the award and eligibility requirements.
There is no cost associated with an Association Award nomination. Winners will be awarded at 9 AM MST on Thursday, February 26, 2025 at the Awards Brunch taking place during FENCETECH 2025.
Here are a few tips for submitting a strong nomination for any of the AFA Association Awards:
Provide Specific Examples: When describing your nominee’s contributions, include clear, specific examples of how they have impacted the AFA and the fence industry. Highlight any unique projects, leadership roles, or initiatives they have been involved in.
Use Descriptive Language: Include detailed descriptors to illustrate the nominee’s character, work ethic, and achievements. For example, use phrases like "demonstrated exceptional leadership in..." or "consistently upheld the highest ethical standards by..."
Focus on Eligibility Requirements: Ensure that you address all the eligibility criteria listed for the award. For example, if years of service or involvement in specific AFA activities are required, mention these explicitly in your nomination.
Highlight Unique Challenges: If the nominee has overcome significant challenges in their role, be sure to include this. Emphasize how they tackled obstacles and how this has made their contribution stand out.
Include a Compelling Summary: Start or end the nomination with a strong summary statement that encapsulates why your nominee deserves the award. This should be a powerful sentence or two that ties together their qualifications and impact.
Double-Check for Completeness: Ensure that all required fields, statements, and supporting materials (like signed letters or photos) are included and meet the submission guidelines. Incomplete submissions may not be considered.
These tips will help the selection committee fully understand and appreciate your nominee’s contributions and why they deserve the award.
