Gates and Access Control

Gates are often the finishing touch to residences, country estates, limited access neighborhoods, condominium and apartment complexes, ranches and businesses.

Generally, gates are integrated with a fence system and help restrict access to urban, suburban and rural properties according to Thomas L. Corrigan, CFP. Gates generally match the materials used in the fence around the building Corrigan explained. “There is standard galvanized chain-link, vinyl or color-coated chain-link and ornamental aluminum and steel used for gate material,” he explained. “We don't generally recommend that driveway gates be made of wood because of wind load and weight factors.
